Dr. Foris is a Licensed Psychologist who graduated from Nova Southeastern University in 2009. She completed her internship and post-doctoral residency in Broward County, primarily focusing on the assessment and treatment of sexual abuse victims and juveniles exhibiting sexual behavior problems. Dr. Foris relocated to Southwest Florida in 2016 to pursue an employment opportunity with Comprehensive MedPsych Systems (CMPS), but resigned in July 2022 in order to focus her time and energy on building a private practice.
Dr. Foris is currently contracted with the Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ) to conduct psychosexual evaluations and provide outpatient sexual offense specific treatment to youth in the 20th Judicial Circuit. She is also contracted with Partnership for Strong Families and the Children's Network of Southwest Florida to conduct comprehensive evaluations for juveniles and adults involved with the Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF). She has extensive experience conducting forensic evaluations for adults and juveniles in criminal, civil and family law cases, and has been qualified as an expert witness in the 20th Judicial Circuit.
Dr. Foris currently holds professional membership in the American Psychological Association (APA) and the Association for the Treatment & Prevention of Sexual Abuse (ATSA). She is also the Board Secretary for the Florida Association for the Treatment & Prevention of Sexual Abuse (FATSA), working closely with State agencies in collaborative efforts towards community safety.
